Ok, it has taken a couple of days, but my self-esteem is doing better. I am learning to compartmentalize. I read an interesting quote today: "In skating over thin ice, our safety is in our speed." Ralph Waldo Emerson

My self esteem is really suffering. An ad that I designed for a magazine was published with a bunch of mistakes. Yikes. I am not sure why stuff like that bothers me so much. I do know that it will probably bother me for days to come. Maybe it is because I try so hard to NOT be a moron.
I have found that it is the big blunders that stop me in my tracks and causes me to re-evaluate my level of performance (in whatever area). The old saying is, "Anything worth doing is worth doing right." I heard someone else say, "anything worth doing is worth doing wrong." In other words, if it is worth doing at all, it is worth doing it over and over again until you get it right.
